No, it is like Israeli president to seek help in constitutional reforms from German chancellor. You mean the Germany which we invaded, killed or captured all those in power, executed nearly all the top leadership and then had a ruthless anti-Nazi campaign to wipe out any last vestiges of that fascist system before instituting a new democratic constitution on our own terms based on liberty.

When Kemal Ataturk came to power in 1921 and rigorously secularized Turkish society: converting to a Roman script, banning beards and fezzes, compelling Western dress, and so forth. The Turkish Army to this day reminds the governments there is only so far you can go with Islamicization before the Army will step in.
