It's amazing; I'm a Presbyterian, but PCA (Presbyterian Church in America) which is still conservative and faithful to God and His Word.
It just amazes me that there is any wonder as to why there are close to 50,000 members leaving the PCUSA every year!
PCUSA=Presbyterian Church, United States Apostate!
OH!!! That's what it is! All this time I have been reading it dyslexically as CPUSA. I thought it was the Commies pretending like they got Religion.
With 50k leaving each year, it won't be long before very few are left.
It seems that determined leftists like Nancy Olthoff are determined to kill the Church and rebuild it in their pagan image. Perhaps the greatest threat to the early Church was the activity of the female-dominated orgiastic sects. Given the chance, women like Olthoff will have history repeat itself.
PCA here in Memphis are building, building, building. PCUSA is having financial difficulties.
We have been going to an Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) which we have been very happy with. The EPC is solid in its Christian foundation and traditional biblical beliefs, and the church and its congregation has not wavered from their very conservative values. A good sign is the numerous W stickers and support the troops ribbons on the cars in the parking lot.
The EPC broke off from the mainstream Presbyterians beginning in the fall of 1980 when a group of pastors and elders held meetings in St. Louis, Missouri. These leaders had become increasingly distressed by liberalism within their denominations. They wanted to form a church that took seriously the words of Scripture, the theology of the historic confessions of the faith, and the evangelical fervor of Presbyterian founders. They envisioned a denomination that was truly evangelical and truly Presbyterian; hence the name.
