My point is that it isn't about Jacob. It is about the primary being a referendum on immigration. I will give you that Jacob may be a dud, if you will give me that if Jacob were proclaimed by angels as the embodiment of Republican perfection, and you learned Cannon was actually Damion, you would still support Cannon.

Fact is, if Jacob is elected, he'll vote overwhelmingly with the conservative caucus in the House, just as Cannon has done on most things except the border. His district and constituency make that a certainty.
Chris Cannon made a conscious choice to make himself the poster boy for open borders. It's time for him to pay the piper for that.
