My main objection is that the tnacredo/bay buchanan absolutists here all become Jacobots when he proposes his own form of amnesty.

So, you don't have a problem with the pass, rather you object to freepers who do not renounce Jacob when he proposes something akin to amnesty.

Shouldn't we be equally irritated at Dane, who does not immediately embrace Jacob for proposing an amnesty scheme? You've embraced everybody else with an amnesty scheme, from Pence to Kennedy.

Neither anti-amnesty Freepers nor FROBL's like Dane are going to reconsider Jacob based on any proposals Jacob makes. Because the race is solely a referendum on Cannon, and his immigration record.

Do you agree?

You don't replace something with nothing.

To say that Jacob can propose anything he wants or that his own amnesty plan is not going to be factored in or highlighted by voters is wishful thinking, it seems to me.

And the hypocrisy is boundless when you defend someone who is proposing his own amnesty(Jacob).

Nope this race is all about spite from paleocons such as bay buchanan and tom tancredo, who could care less that Chris Cannon is a good conservative with a 97 ACU rating.

With ego driven "friends" like tancredo/bay buchanan who needs enemies.

Jacob has been slippery up until now, even though he made anti-illegals noises. Well, now we find out that his position is only marginally different from Cannon's.

So why turn out a great conservative like Cannon when, on the one issue on which he is weak, his opponent is barely different?

Jacob is the challenger. He's the one who has to prove his value.
