Why in the hell doens't each and every American soldier have a GPS chip inside their body?

If they can make them available for your pet and your car..why not a human being in harm's way?

The technological application for this has been around for years. it's disgusting.

They should have been able to be found moments after the abduction.

Then no one would take a U.S. soldier hostage. Which sounds good, unless you consider the alternative.

Me, I'll take my chances with escape or rescue, thanks.

Or at least in their clothing or dog tags or weapons. Somewhere there could be a homing device, set to a specific frequency.

I'm going to put this as delicately as I can.
Have you ever heard of a knife?
How do you think the kidnappers are going to use a knife to eliminate the chip as soon as they capture an American?
So where do you think this chip should be implanted in the bodies of American servicemen?
After you've thought those questions through and come to the obvious conclusions, would there be there any point to the chips?

You're thinking of an RFID tag, or chip. It only works when you get it close to a sensor. They're used on security badges, product anti-theft tags (the things that make the alarms go nuts at Home Depot).

With that said, an RFID tag would be useless in finding kidnapped people, unless they were moved close to a sensor, and it's impossible to put sensors everywhere.
