Aah, the Roman solution, very effective, I agree.

Well, modified a bit: I wouldn't kill all the men and boys - only those who adided the insurgents. And, I wouldn't sell the women and children into slavery, just disperse them. I'd even let families who weren't involved in the insurgency reunite, anywhere else in Iraq. But, I would absolutely raze the town and salt the earth.

Your attempt to do the deed in a sympathetic nature wouldn't bring about the effect you're looking for. I would only soothe your guilt.

No sir. The only thing that will bring peace to the country is to instill total and complete fear into them.

Afterall, those men and boys left alive grow into revengeful enemies.

Dispersing them across the land will initialte a PLO-type mentality.

Kill them all and let God sort it out.
