Biologically homosexuality cannot be defined as "normal" if the ultimate goal of sexuality is procreation. Statistically, homosexuality is comparatively rare--at any given time 4% of men and 2% of women.
And even that is dependant on which figures you use -
The Homo-lovers claim 10% across the board.
Yet I have heard figures closer to 1%.
Either way - it is a CHOICE.
But we had a conversation in class last week regarding the question "what if medical science comes out officially saying that homosexuality is genetic?".
The answer - we deal with it like any other sin - As we all are born with sin in our genes - some have a proclivity to play with fire (pyromania/ prospective arsonist), theivery, other sexual proclivity (just look at Bill Clintoon), addiction, and such. The difference is we either choose to live by a higher moral standard set by God, or we give in to the temptations and sin.
Exactly, the re-definition was 100% political, with no medical justification whatsoever. It will always be a mental disorder, no matter what the current fashion is.
