That is a possibility. See the Seebeck Effect, discovered originally in 1821:

I have a cooler that already has this.

Plug the junction plugs in 'dis' way and get heat.
Plug them in 'dat' way and get cooling. (reverse polarity)

Pretty cool for a car cooler.
