"Must Coulter, and the rest of us, suffer the misPERCEPTIONS of those on the left?" The perceptions of the left are irrelevant. They are going to think the worst of Coulter, regardless. They are going to hate Bush regardless. They are going to vote against conservatives regardless. What we do need to worry about is the perceptions of those who are apolitical -- the 40% of the population that doesn't follow politics, yet votes. And, regardless of whether you think their perception of Coulter is wrong, it is their perception...and they are the swing voters.
