In addition to the FACT that cut-and-run Murtha would have had us completely out of Iraq before we could have nailed Zarqawi and really begun to roll up his network, he is blissfully unaware that his Okinawa proposal is ABSURD...... we have been under much local pressure to greatly REDUCE our presence in Okinawa, a process which is well underway in agreement with the government of Japan, and Murtha thinks we can suddenly turn on a dime and pour tens of thousands of new troops in there??? Considering that the Demagogues like to boast of their supposed sensitivities to diplomatic and political issues with allies, this is particularly idiotic......

Oh, that's right! I was trying to think why Okinawa sounded strange. This makes his foolish statement even worse. I doubt it could handle an additional 100,000+ troops "immediately" even if we weren't reducing our troop levels? This guy is nuts.
