Not to mention the opportunity cost of people being imprisoned rather than working productive jobs and money wasted on fines and lawyer fees rather than being invested in various markets where capital gains are often compunded.
A pittance compared to the savings society realizes from all the people not doing drugs because drugs are illegal.
