Sometimes you are a hit. Sometimes you take a hit.

One of the golden rules of campaigning is that every poll on the calendar is not a slam-dunk.

Some governor Tom Vilsack turned out to be. The school bus company in his adopted Iowa home town closed, as did Maytag, Rubbermaid, etc.

Will the dems play nice or will they shread each other in the primaries? That is the question on my mind. Either way it will be fun to watch.

As for the GOP. I hope they can keep McCain out of the running.

Viltax is actually running for Secretary of Agriculture in the (the hoped for) Democrat Administration.

Woe is Ag if that occurs.

I have a feeling that "nice" is not going to be in their vocabulary. Especially if Iraq continues to jell, and the economy doesn't turn sour, they will be at each others' throats in desperation mode.

'As for the GOP. I hope they can keep McCain out of the running.'

he would hope for a open primary, as it is very hard to see him gaining the conservative support needed to secure the nomination in the primary.
