You must be my evil twin then. :)
Hey, Mom said that YOU are the evil twin! She likes ME!
:-p
Of course, Mom will love any of her kids. Maybe we're both evil.
Myth about teachers...
It has been well documented that the people drawn into teaching these days tend to be those who have performed least well in college.
Wow, I love freerepublic until it comes to opinions about teachers. They are harsh! I’m only saying this to show the myth to be false. I graduated from high school with a 3.91 GPA and from a private college(tough college) with a 3.93. I worked my little butt off in school my whole life!
I do not want to rewrite my whole day, I have on another page, but we do not have the free time you suggested in the article.
I am an elementary school teacher, there is no resting, there is no sitting. Although its a great workout and I’m losing weight! :) Can’t complain about that. If you would like to hear about my day... let me know... I will tell you. It fun and full of hard work. I do the work because I love it.
I wish I made the average. I make 29,000 and 31,000 now because I coach volleyball and track.
And devoted teachers who are really there to make a difference do put in all the extra hours. They are there to help the students succeed. In order to do so, you are there an hour before the children, help kids before school, stay a couple hours after they leave, help kids after school. And yes, you do put in the extra hours at home doing lesson plans and grading.
I’m not sure how teachers teach without putting in the extra hours. They would definitely not be well thought out lessons.
