I know of no instance where Mexico has allowed re-entry of an illegal alien. I'm gonna need a little more proof than your word, Spiff.

Now, where do you think those illegal aliens were deported to? Most were from Mexico and were deported back. Nearly none had passports. Non were required. Get a clue. We don't even ask Mexico before we dump illegals back across the fence. I've entered Mexico a number of times (I live on the border) and I can assure you that they don't require a passport to get in. Don't be so dumb.

When do I need a Passport ?

In some instances (Mexico, Canada, etc.), a valid driver's license and a birth certificate will suffice as the proof of citizenship; however, as indicated many countries require a passport to gain entry to their country and the United States State Department "recommends" a passport as evidence of citizenship in ALL cases.
