The New York Times reported that Iraqi residents in the area said they saw two soldiers taken prisoner by a group of masked guerrillas. It said the two surviving soldiers were led to two cars and driven away.

At 800 dead per year, that is when there will be 58,000 dead American soldiers in Iraq. Same as Vietnam.
Unfortunately for liberals Vietnam status will come when they turn 120 to 130.
Any time there is an Islamist atrocity, immediately declare amnesty and/or pardon for any American heretofore accused of a war crime or atrocity over there and let it be understood that we will not wear silk slippers in a combat zone with terrorists. The people who harbor these terrorists know perfectly well what they are doing, and since they choose and probably want to be the enemy, let them often be found dead when necessary along with the ones they are harboring, as the occasions for anti-terrorist transactions occur.
