I don't turn on the air conditioner until the house hits 85...I just run fans. Growing up where it never gets below 80 for six months of the year teaches you a certain tolerance...and most of the year here it's pretty dry.
I'm looking forward to moving to Boise this fall...the air will be drier. Then when it does rain in late summer, the air smells almost like gingerbread...spicy...from the dust that kicks up. Much nicer than southern dirt in a light rain...
Boise is beautiful (and quite Republican) - I love that place. Make sure you play some golf near the Sawtooths and go biking once in awhile along the river. God's Country, there.
