The left-leaning Newsweek magazine lied about what she wrote in her book, an indignant Ann Coulter said during an appearance on Thursday night's Hannity & Colmes show on Fox News Channel.
"I'm sitting in a Fox studio in L.A.," Coulter said. "I don't know why there's a copy of Newsweek here rather than Human Events. Here is Newsweek describing Ann Coulter as saying '9/11 widows enjoyed their [husbands'] deaths.' That is simply a lie . . . That is a lie. If you can't deal with the facts and you refuse to say what the argument is, I think that's a total lack of confidence in your position and it certainly shows a complete lack of understanding [that] Americans can find out the truth these days - that it's not the mainstream media monopoly it was 10 years ago."

Ann said THOSE widows, NOT all 9-11 WIDOWS. Important distinction, the media knows this and purposely lies. You must read more closely.
You, like the media, have taken her statement out of context and don't seem to see that. The subject was those four wives only not all the widows.
An assertion is worthless without some form of validating facts; an example perhaps? A quote? Paraphrasing? anything?
Don't you think it's hypocritical to accuse me of doing something that you yourself are doing?

A deliberately sloppy headline is the same thing as a lie !
An assertion is worthless without some form of validating facts. Can you produce the entire article that Ann Coulter is complaining about and verify that nowhere in the text does it specify whom she was talking about?

Just like the word "is", the word "enjoy" has multiple meanings. Don't be niggardly in trying to understand the various connotations of a given phrase, especially when it has been removed from its context.

Hmmm not everyone agrees with Anne's methods or rhetoric. It doesn't mean that all us Anne "haters" don't agree with the underlying message, it just the way it is presented.
Statements such as:
"President Clinton saved the Constitution by repeatedly ejaculating on a fat Jewish girl in the Oval Office.)"
Why, one must ask, does it matter that she was jewish, does it make the act more henious? The underlying message is clear but how it is presented and phrased is pitiful.
What a naive and self-serving statement!
Headlines are the finest honed means of lies-by-distortion. And it's not new.
