How were there only 3 soldiers together such that no one else was close enough to see anything???I can't imagine any US soldier who was alive and capable of resisting being taken captive by these animals. If knocked out by a blast and they wake up in chains, that's a bit different
My guess is that they were with a contingent of Iraqi soldiers/police and one or more of the Iraqi police/soldiers were working for the other side.

Good morning.
At some point in the night I heard comment that units nearby heard an explosion and gun fire. The report said that a reaction force was on scene quickly but the two were missing.
Like others here, I can't imagine any of our people surrendering if they were able to resist so I'm guessing a frag was tossed at them, with the KIA shot while try to respond.
There isn't enough news to do any more than guess. All we can do is hope for the best.
