Pro-Troop Alert MAF E-mail (Sat June 17th Protest Conservative Radio Host's Fireing)

This is a Pro-Troop Alert for all Move America Forward members.

This Saturday, June 17th, supporters of the men and women of the United States military will gather to protest the firing of pro-troop radio talk show host Mark Williams (and his replacement by KFBK 1530/Clear Channel Radio with liberal anti-war advocate, Bruce Maiman).

The protest will take place at 1:00 PM - Saturday June 17th on Vernon Street in Roseville, California. This is the location of the Art & Wine Festival being sponsored by KFBK and Clear Channel radio.

If you cannot attend: If you cannot make it, or do not live in this area, then we ask that you instead send an email asking KFBK to bring back Mark Williams.

Please email Sarah Simpson of KFBK radio and let her know how disappointed you are with her and the station (Ms. Simpson reportedly played a role in KFBK's selection of a liberal host to replace Mr. Williams) and how very badly we want to see Mr. Williams brought back on the airwaves.

Sarah Simpson's Email: sarahsimpson@clearchannel.com

You may also call Sarah at (916) 929-5325

*Lets fill that voice mail up with a flood of polite, respectful calls that passionately (but patiently) convey our sadness at seeing the firing of the station's pro-troop talk show host, and his replacement with an anti-war liberal host.

If you think you CAN attend: Bring signs that show your support for Mark Williams and our troops. Make signs that express your desire to see KFBK return itself to a pro-troop format.

We will meet at the corner of Vernon & Atlantic - meet near the big black Southern Pacific choo choo train. There is a parking lot immediately behind it where you can park.

Loyal listeners to the Mark Williams program tell us that they will be making fliers that can be distributed to the organizers of the event and the general public.

FOR MORE INFORMATION EMAIL DEBORAH JOHNS: dkwj@earthlink.net

Ms. Johns is co-founder of Northern California Marine Moms & Military Families. She led the "You Don't Speak for Me, Cindy" Tour and has been featured in previous Move America Forward advertisements

This event is taking place in Roseville, CA, just outside of Sacramento. This is the annual Art & Wine Festival.Saturday is being sponsered by KFBK and their parent company.

Mark Williams was a great advocate for the Conservative cause and the Troops and their Mission in Iraq.

In the past he has worked with Free Republic and MAF to support the troops and has taken calls from FR members on his show. He has been on the streets with us, and now we will go to the streets in support of him.

Although Free Republic isn't organizing this event, several members will be there to join with Deborah Johns and others to let KFBK know that Nothern California doesn't appreciate their dismisal of Mark Williams and replacing him with a far-left liberal who doesn't support our Troops.

There will be an after action report with pictures after the event.

How many ways can we demoralize our troops. . .seems to be the question/ (Armed Forces network has cut Rush to one hour; so as to allow for 'different views' . . .).

What do they really mean when they say they we 'support our troops'?

That said; was this choice political...practical or coerced?

Hard to imagine any commercial practicalities in hiring a Left-wing voice; what is their explanation/excuse?

Meantime, Good Luck. . .

Bump for protest today!

Sad, that despite 'we support our troops' stickers everywhere and Congressional voices assenting as well. . .that our Military must nonetheless endure in a manner of speaking. . .a 'death by a thousand cuts'. . .

. .. and yes; bump for protest!

Yes, it is too bad the press on the WOT is so determined to not report all the positive advanced that are happening on a daily basis in Iraq and the overwhelming support that the Troops have from the grateful citizens of Iraq.

I would say though, that the Terrorists are suffering death by a million cuts.
