Fair point. I think that the repetitive posting of positive gay stories about Canada on FR may be problematic. It points to a government that does not seem to be able to set its own agenda. Perhaps, I am being a bully when I try to place the problem on the Canadian contingent of FR. Yet, in their silence they appear to endorse their government's overall acquiescence in this matter. I would like to hear some people, other than myself, say the Canadian administration needs to get their priorities straight. And, when they do get their priorities straight they need to communicate those priorities with some real vigor.

I think that's because the CPC doesn't have an overall majority, thus it can't always set it's own agenda - I'm an Irishman, Ireland is a multiparty political system - no party has had an overall majority in 25 years, thus no party here has everything their own way.

Furthermore, several towns, particularly resorts, are known as primarily gay areas. They differ from gay villages in that they are generally self-governing municpalities and not enclaves within large cities. Some of the resort destinations (e.g., Provincetown, Key West) attract even more gay people (i.e., tourists) during the summer months.
