Well, well, time for tancredo supported candidate John Jacob to be fined up the wazoo and the Silvas deported, per the rhetoric of the tancredo supporters on FR.

OK, sounds like a great plan to me. Fine them and deport them. Even IF Jacob knew they were illegal, he has since seen the error of his way, and has corrected this thinking. Thankfully, he has since become anti-illegal, anti-open borders, which is what we want. GOOOOOOOO Jacob!!!! :o)

Personally, I think Dane is engaging in over-the-top polemics here. Not that he doesn't have reason to do so, given the rhetoric of his opposition.

I know quite a few people on student visas. They can't do any work at all if it isn't approved (being a TA, etc.). They can't work at McDonald's. They can't clean toilets, they can't do anything. The money he claimed to give her was small potatoes and even if laws were enforced, since he isn't a genuine employer, not much -- if anything -- would happen to him. The couple would be deported, however.
