I watched the demo on the site you posted. Is it just for laptops? I looked on my keyboard and there's no slot for it to go into.

No, it should go into any USB port without difficulty. Wouldn't be on the keyboard for desktop PCs, it would be a small slot (usually 2 or 4 slots) on the back of the PC tower or box. In the last couple of years just about all the PC towers I have seen (Dell, etc.) also have one USB port on the front center, down near the bottom, for easy access with devices such as the thumbdrives (it can be a pain to try to get behind the PC tower all the time if it's under a desk, etc.).
