Leave it to the Porcine Draft Dodger--Karl Rove--to impugn the character of combat veterans. Can't blame him for trotting out the same playbook that worked so well in 2004 against the candidacy of John Kerry. If it worked once it should work again.
Of course I am referring to Karl's speech Tuesday night to Republicans in New Hampshire. According to a piece in Wednesday's Washington Post:
In a speech to New Hampshire Republican officials here Monday night, the White House deputy chief of staff attacked Democrats who have criticized the U.S. war effort in Iraq, such as Sen. John F. Kerry (Mass.) and Rep. John P. Murtha (Pa.), who he said advocate "cutting and running."
"They may be with you for the first shots," Rove said of such opponents. "But they're not going . . . to be with you for the tough battles."
Karl is a shameless bastard. Small wonder his mother killed herself. Once she discovered what a despicable soul she had spawned she apparently saw no other way out. It would be one thing if his vile tactics were simply mere smears of politicians like Kerry and Murtha. They are big boys and should be able to defend themselves quite ably against this turd.
Remember, this is our one party media's favorite expert on all things CIA and Wilson/Plame.

Actually, I think you proved the difference in an earlier post - Coulter made a point, Johnson is just being ugly with the soul purpose of slamming Rove. Some differences that I see between the two remarks:
We all know that the Jersey husbands were killed in the WTC. I don't think many people know that Karl's mother killed herself.
Ann didn't blame the women for their husband's death.
Karl, as far as I know, never inserted his mother into political discussions.
Murtha is actively sabotaging our military, and putting them in further danger. I can see troops not standing by for that.
I suspect the poisoning remark was a play off what Julienne Malvaux said.
If I thought for one minute that this was written BECAUSE of what Ann has said, I'd almost see the point. But I'd bet a million bucks this guy would have written this anyway.

Remember, Ann Coulter is the devil for her book criticizing the Jersey girls. /SARCASM
I wonder how many 'reporters' and 'news' shows will have a hissy fit over what the LUNATIC, MOONBAT Larry Johnson said?!!! There's no wonder the CIA missed 9/11 if they had people like LARRY JOHNSON working there!

I'm really beginning to believe these guys and/or Wilson are going to become so unhinged in their hatred that they are going to become unintentionally careless in their posts and their rants and reveal or give some very substantial clues about what they have really been up to with this whole Plame affair. Or they are going to talk to someone who won't be able to keep their secrets like the guys that recently told the world what Kerry had to say even though he asked them to keep it off the record. we should keep our ear to the listening post even though it means listening to disgusting stuff. Thanks for all you are doing to shine the light on these ignorant, worthless pieces of inhumanity.

Wow. Big tough Larry shows what he is worth - less than nothing. What I find interesting is that on the very day when the Kerry/Murtha surrender approach was rejected 93-6 by the Senate (and had been decisively rejected by the House right after Murtha proposed surrender last November), LJ is more concerned to slime Karl Rove and engage in unspeakable statements about Rove's mother than to engage in any intelligent, reasoned discussion.

Way over the line IMHO. I wouldn't say that about Clinton. Hear, hear. I wouldn't say that even about Christianne Amanpour. Or Patty Murray!

Huh?... Karl is a "shameless bastard" for saying something truthful? Why is he a bastard, because it hurts to say such things when we've gotten so much great news lately in the WOT?
I've researched enough about Kerry (thank you SO MUCH SwiftVets!) and Murtha (spit) to know that I am damn glad we have Karl on our side.

If Coulter had said this about a Democrat, FReepers would be cheering. If Coulter said this about a Democrat, it would be true.

[If Coulter had said this about a Democrat, FReepers would be cheering.]
Then it should be posted on a Democrat web site.

If Coulter said this about a Democrat, it would be true. Yes and they think the same about us. They have their truth we have ours BUT the outrage shown on this thread rings very hollow after the support we, including me, have given Coulter lately.

I'm actually fine with the Jersey Girls stuff. Her comments are engineered to illustrate their point in real with supreme irony.
What ARE problems, however, are her tactical errors and infantile lapses....

First of all, let me say that I am a dyed-in-the-wool Ronald Reagan-style Republican. And, I like your guy Mike Pence. Now, with regard to what you said:
A) Coulter would never stoop that low
(B) Coulter has never criticized Democrat or liberal family members
Ummmmmmmm. You might want to read "Godless". While I agree with her, even some Conservatives felt that her statements about the New Jersey widows was beyond the pale. Maybe not the smartest thing to put in a book; can't say it helped our cause.
Having said that, I must admit that I've an extremely sharp tongue myself. I'm not mealy mouthed in the least.

I KNOW it was meant to be a "joke", but not everyone is a football fan, so it falls flat!
It WAS a joke. I would believe that you were in the minority in not understanding the joke.
And YOU are the one who needs to "lighten up"; Francis.
I need to lighten up? Is that a joke?

While I agree that Freepers give Coulter a pass, I think the whole point of Coulter's schtick is that she's doing exactly what the Leftists do, just saying what she really thinks without any regard for how offensive it is. And the fact that the mainstream media attacks her while giving Leftists who say similarly offensive things a pass shows just how biased they are and how little they care about principles and civility. While I don't personally like how far she goes, I can understand why some Freepers get more than a little pleasure out of offending people who have no scruples about offending everyone else, and I don't think there is really moral equivalency there.
To: Texasforever
That's why I didn't post any outrage. I have done what research a civilian can do on Ann and Karl, and I have come to some conclusions, 1 Both Karl and Ann can take care of themselves, Johnson is having the same effect as a two year old kicking the cornerstone of the Empire State building. (And looks like a two year old for trying) 2 Both karl and Ann are rather pleasant people and use language to ACHIEVE informational ends and make a good living at it. 3 Ann always has a solid basis of truth behind her statements. 4 Karl is always truthful in his legal statements as am I.
Pale horse will get no leverage with me , and I told him why.
