Waste of time unless catch and release is ended and the border is sealed. But, since neither is on Bush's North American Union agenda and would crimp his efforts to secure amnesty for employers of illegals, I'm not holding my breath that any deserved credit for the improvement in Iraq is going to go far to improve his numbers. But he has only himself to blame.
I suspect that should we find that a terrorist crossed the border or should the illegals become violent next time they decide to take to the streets and shut down our country, no doubt, his numbers will tank. IMO, he's truly let us down. Such a disappointment.
A polling rematch of the 2004 Presidential Election shows that John Kerry leads George W. Bush 48% to 41% (see crosstabs). In the real election, Kerry never held a lead that big in any of the nightly polls we conducted from January 2 through Election Day.
This latest poll is another indication of how much support has fallen for the President since his re-election. The number of voters who call themselves Republicans is also down since Election Day 2004.
President Bush is still trusted by a few more voters than Kerry on the National Security issue. However, the President's advantage is much smaller than it was during the election season--44% now trust the President more while 41% opt for Kerry.
A separate survey found that just 30% of Americans give the President good or excellent marks for handling the situation in Iraq.
Kerry has a narrow edge on economic issues--45% to 40%.
On immigration, 43% trust the President more while 40% prefer Kerry.

Can you believe this? I wanted a poll in 1994 on whether folks would voted for Clinton. If you remember, Clinton wasn't doing so good in 1994 but nobody thought about repolling his election. We had an election in 1994 that gave Congress to the party that Clinton didn't belong to, but that was just angry, crank, mean ol' conservatives hs\aving a tantrum.

You didn't ask me if I would vote for Bush and the Republicans, again. Of course, Bush cannot run for a third term.
However, my point is...
The answer would be yes. The alternative is to give control back to the Democrats.
An important point that most polls like this one miss.
The moonbats already think OBL is dead and stored in a deep freezer somewhere and that Bush, Cheney & Rove are going to thaw him out in time for the elections.
I wish I was making that up, but they do believe that.

If you search their polling results, you will find that of the people polled 42% consider themselves Democrats and only 34% consider themselves Republican. I wonder what their poll would look like if they polled Repubilcans and Democrats equally?
