This is what strikes me: There was no way to independently confirm the authenticity of the information attributed to al-Qaida.

Did the DBM "independently confirm" the Haditha story? Did it mention that they couldn't?

As to the substance; sounds like the Greatest Army in the World, is doing a fine job. Many thanks to all who serve.

My thought as well. Typical. You only see comments like that in stories that weaken the MSM anti-American agenda.
