Yes, it sure was. Thanx for the heads up Ron and Evening star. Great memories with great company. I'm so glad I took the day off work to attend, it was fun from 6am till after the show was over at 12:35.
Maybe Jay Medicates his audiences before taping...?
Yeah but they're grounded in truth. There is, infact ONE great talent on the left who won't go very far because of Lies : Michael Moore.
I can't stand him, but he's a talent. That's what a Left-Coulter or Limbaugh would be IMO-- though they're not film makers.
Thank you for that highly informative account. You answered all my musings about how Carlin and Coulter may have interacted privately, and I didn't even have to ask.

I thought Jay's line of questioning, from the transcript I read at least, gave Ms. Coulter a superb forum to clarify and reiterate her key points. He gave her a venue. Very professional on his part.
strikes against her? sounds like the perfect rich-kid resume.
I lurked for years (and was so grateful I'd 'found my people') before I ever posted.
I agree that you are a celebrity, doug from upland.

That "commie nut" meant that music, as a form of expression, stands against negative ideals like fascism.
The labor, communist, communalist and "left-wing" groups went from a stance of neutrality in World War II to an anti-facist stance as the United States entered the war. Howard Zinn goes into great depth of being swept up in the feeling that the violence was justified in "You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train," ultimately coming to the conclusion that the bombing missions he flew in WWII, even though they were aimed at stopping the fascist tide, were still against his own personal belief of non-violence.
Guthrie was one of several prominent folk singers who, with the US entering the war, changed positions from singing songs protesting war to embracing it. "This machine kills fascists" is constantly being referenced by other musicians, from English folk singer Donovan's variation, "This machine kills," to Harvard grad and rock and roller Tom Morello's "Arm the Homeless" guitar.
Music as a form of expression stands against fascism? Tell it to Wagner.
"even a well known banned Freeper."
I guess this banning thing is pretty serious. Like, you can't even mention their handles afterward?

It really isn't that LONG -- yet -- so you can still read through the WHOLE THING rather QUICKLY.I re-sized most of the MARVELOUS (new!) photos of Ann posted there, so that it loads MUCH FASTER for (those folks on dial-up connections) than it did YESTEDAY. :o)
Ronnie U Rocked it Again........! Thanks for the Ping/Hit on getting the tickets... sorry I was not in town. Glad to see all the posts and photos....! Saw the show on TV and I could hear you all loud and clear..........:)

Is it hard to get banned here?
Actually, the event that turned the Left around was Hitler's invasion of Russia in May, 1941, six months before Pearl Harbor.
Communists and fellow travelers, while the von Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact still held, were frequently mounting pacifist demonstrations in Washington and other principal cities. The minute Hitler invaded Russia, their posture changed, and the same demonstrators begin exhibiting posters demanding that the U.S. enter the war on Russia's side.
This was the sort of thing that George Orwell eventually wrote into 1984.
That was a pretty serious compliment Ann paid you, too -- and you deserved it.
Congrats on your face-to-face with Ann. That had to be a treat.
I don't know. Give it a try.
