I wish these energetic parents would turn their attention to dismantling the public school system, instead of trying to micromanage it. Even though my views on sexuality and what children should know and think about it are pretty much on the opposite end of the spectrum from these parents, I don't want my money confiscated to run schools which educate children against the wishes of their parents, and the last thing I want to end up doing when I have children in school, is to engage in competitive micro-managing with parents who have opposing views.
Throw the public school system in the garbage, and finance education up to age 14 or so with a 100% voucher system (including for homeschooling). After that, most kids would do well to spend a few years in the work world before any more money is spent by anyone on their education, and the few who really will benefit from spending their hormone-controlled teen years in school will be eligible for scholarships from serious schools if their parents can't pay.

I couldn't agree more! We pay through the nose for a private Christian school. Then I walk into a public library - that we ALSO fund through tax dollars and see this unadulterated sh**. It burns me to no end.
Liberals have been very successful in taking over the MEDIA, COURTS, PUBLIC SCHOOLS and LIBRARIES while parents blissfully both work and have NO CLUE on what's going on and some don't mind it. They want to be LIBERATED from what's moral and right - they want to be "tolerant" and "open minded". A FEW are waking up but not enough.

GS, you know politicians will not do that, throw out the public school system. It has become a garden of constituency funded for entitlement. The system is so corrupted now it cannot be discarded because those running it have too much lobbying power. On the other hand, why not make such a revolution against this kind of degeneracy in the schools that the system will change and serve the sovereigns better, rather than in spite of the sovereigns?

dismantle public education? Like that policy will go somewhere. LOL! I wish energetic people like you would engage in rational debate where something may actually happen instead of being locked in some wishful fantasy land. These parents are doing exactly the right thing. They are in the real world working in the trenches and we need more like them.
