So it's okay for the services to break away from their Commander in Chief and act like a mafia squad when someone looks at them crosseyed?

That's EXACTLY what the cartoonist wants. Ignored, he and the cartoon will sink into oblivion.

Crosseyed, wow...that's being pretty lenient...what this "cartoonist" did is an out an out afront to the standards of the corps...granted roughing the guy up might be extreme, but considering his opinion it would appear diplomacy has failed and extreme measures are reasonable.

Granted, he has the right under "free speech" to display his ignorance by his little cartoon...and publishers can decide in a testament of bad taste to run it, but there should be repercussion that should keep such acts of blatant dishonesty under control. Meaning, if he has the right to slander the corps...corps member should have the right to take him to task with a boot in the ass...or at least legal action. Perhaps that is what he wants or, perhaps, he feels that since what he draws isnt true...he has nothing to worry about...either way the press is no longer civil in this country and it's time we stop pretending that they are and meet them with the neccessary force to keep them honest, and if that is what they want, let's give it to them. Their (cartonists/journalists of Benson's ilk) actions embolden our enemies over seas, and that must be dealt with accordingly.

Ahhhh...history 101, what did the colonialists due in 1775 to (British loyalist) newspapers that, after numerous warnings, slandered those that lead the cause for independence and liberty in the US?

What happened in WWII to those that slandered the cause of troops over seas? And better yet...were there any papers that did?

Thanks In Hoc.
