Molly Ivins is vicious in print, but - unlike Coulter - comes across as reasonably likeable on TV. So maybe in that sense, she is smarter than Coulter - she has a PR sense when appearing in front of the fence-sitters of the world.

Molly Ivins is a liberal syndicated columnist from Texas, who specializes in Bush-bashing. She's also written a couple of anti-Bush books, including one with the derogatory title, "Shrub." Her column is frequently nasty, deliberately misleading, and riddled with falsehoods and non-sequitors. But, as I said, she can be reasonably charming on TV.
