Is this F'ing sick or what? As a former Marine I got sick at my stomach reading this article. This is what happens when politically correct politicians get involved with trying not to offend the enemy instead of killing them. I am sure that most Marines are pissed as hell about this especially after returning from Iraq where they were fighting against the very people that we are now trying to coddle. Aren't our Marines fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan so we don't have to fight the war here in America? Isn't that what our very own President has said time and time again? Then why is their Commander in Chief (via the Deputy Secy of Defense) forcing them to watch their backs at the very place where they conduct military strategy against terrorists who are adherents of Islam?

Several military officers chose to sit out the Quantico ceremony than hear deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England mouth "salaams" to the Muslims in attendance. They think the mosque is misplaced, and don't trust its imam.

This is a mockery (mosquery) of our military. They are being commanded to go out and kill the enemy and at the same time kiss their @ss. So very Clintonesque.

Political correctness and nonsense like this only act to quicken the fall and death of the United States.

While I realize that many here might be offended by these remarks, they need to seriously reflect on what they think will be the eventual outcome if America continues down the path it has.

Living outside of the United States as I do gives a unique perspective that many of my fellow Americans back home simply don't possess.

It is and has been over the last few years extremely painful to watch America continue in earnest to destroy itself.

America and Americans are a unique culture, a young one who seems unable to foresee the future or the effects that the endless social engineering will do. Im of the opinion that society and culture are more fragile that we realize. History has show us and yet we ignore it.

In my many years overseas I have never met a people who hate themselves so much as Americans do. Do you see the Japanese or Swiss using every opportunity to knock their own country?

Most people I meet are proud of their countries and where they are from. Americans are the only people I have ever met overseas who relentlessly bad mouth their own country. Do you think people of other countries respect you after you spout that?
