I'd agree with you except that 'snotbags' are in the eyes of the bepostholder and the judgement of who is or who isn't a snotbag is arbitrary.

Bring back the deterrent of mutually assured destruction and ensure that our adversaries truly believe it.
If any belligerent country truly feared that we would nuke them into the stoneage, we might have a real chance at ending terrorism.
Sitting in their curio cabinets our nuclear weapons now days serve absolutely no purpose. It has come to a point now where not only you and I know that we would never use them, but our enemies as well and so we find ourselves terrorized and unable to strike back effectively once and for all.
