I wonder what the fathers of our country would have to say about those ideas. Would they have accepted as rational the idea the govt ought build religious facilities for those who believed they were animals and ought be converted or killed or made to pay a tax to the religion which taught such monstrous doctrines? Would the Fathers of our country thought it rational the govt build mosques for those whose doctrines teaches there ought be no separation of church and state? Is that what I am to believe?
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
*In Islam, there is no separation of church and state. If your goal is the imposition of Sharia Law in America and the establisment of Islam as the religion of America this is one way to advance down the road to that dhimmitude reality for Christians. Just don't expect this Christian to walk hand-in-hand with you on that road that ends in the loss of liberty and cultural and religious suicide
As has been said many times, The Constitution is not a suicide pact.
I don't see anything in the Consitution that denys Muslim citizens freedom of religion...nor a claus that allows you to define what their religion is.
This is idiotic!!
Could not disagree more.
That kind of caring most Jews could do without. But carry on. You've shown us a lot today.
No...your kind of caring NO ONE in the military needs...and yes, you folks have shown a lot today.
The Muslims were never denied the ability to practice their faith. Why, they have so much freedom to practice their faith in the military that they have a jihad supporting Muslim chaplain to lead them.

Are you aware there is no separation of church and state in Islam?
If you truly cared for the troops, you would care about their mission. They are fighting (and dying) for the Peaches and CWOJacksons of the world.
I have read your posts with increasing disgust until I finally had to comment. As a vet, I can say definitively that you don't know the troops you supposedly advocate. You use them as a debate tool just as liberals use their victims... to insulate you from retort.
GREAT point on the 1st Amendment chief debunking why Islam is not at odds with it! How 'bout a big hand for CWOJackson folks and his astute observation here!!!
I'll really have to digest that b/c there's just so much substance in there that it'd be premature for me to actually react to it without a few hours of in depth thought.
BTW, I'll be going away for a bit. In the meantime, perhaps you, Allegra, and the one or two others that practice your guerilla message board tactics might actually want to exercise those synapses and take on my post #71.
I can see why you and Allegra don't, but nonetheless, my offer of a debate on that stands. In fact there chief, you almost started by admitting that in fact there were conflicts between the 1st Amendment and Islam. Now, just follow thru, ask yourself "why then you are taking the positon that you take," which I consider to be a "poison pill" for our nation, and then perhaps something intelligent may roll off of your keyboard.
I know, I know chief, I'm a "fat ass that isn't worthy of the mud on the bottome of a Marine's boot" or whatever it was you've been ranting over and over. I get that much, and I even acquiesce to you on that point if you'll simply follow through on post #71.
; )
OH, where are my manners!! Allegra, you can feel free to chiime in too in this way. ; )
And now they have a facility.
ROFL.
That's the best you've got?
And what have "we" folks shown? That we don't think it's a great idea for a mosque to be built for 24 Muslims to practice their faith, all while Jews are denied a place to practice their faith?
That we don't think it's a great idea to have a jihad supporting Muslim chaplain who wants a place for educating and converting military people to Islam?
That we don't think your lies and attempt at humor are particularly apprereciated?
Okey doke.
Are you aware that this is the United States of America?
It would appear that you have quite the support here on FR. LOL
Another "vet" who just doesn't care about "some" troops. Spare me your angst...I don't care how you feel.
When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
When in a different culture, try to blend the sharp lines. You cannot win the war for peace without doing some good PR work, and I see nothing wrong with what they have done.
Gaps are bridged in this way, and to think that we can pressure them into becoming moderates and changing the face of Islam in any other way will leave us with only one option, and that would be to somehow eliminate them all, along with all their history and cultural memory.
We have to do this PR work. We don't really have any other logical options. We cannot destroy cultural memory and we never will. But we can moderate it, in time.
What an excellent point. We see the leftists using sympathetic figures like Cindy Sheehan and I think the same thing is being done on this thread.

not even that, really. Its a prayer room attached to the chapel. Big freaking deal. They apparently have 24 muslim marines there. I'd be happy for them to have a place to pray before they go put their lives on the line for the U.S.
You'd be surprised that "here" doesn't matter Dingbat...but you're welcome to tag along with me to Ft. Lewis at any time to work with the troops and their families.
Well spoken.
