Hey, whattayou? The Sandwich Nazi?
How about you let people eat what they wanna eat? Too radical an idea for you?
Awwww. Dry me a lizard, goth.
BTW, hilariously, you're accidentally correct. 'Sorry' is a definitively accurate description of you, given your statist attitude as written.

I hate brie. And I don't see what my comment had to do with liberalism.

You called cheesesteaks "monstrosities."
If people want to eat said foods, what business is it of yours?

Everybody has "rights" except native born English speaking Americans.

Haha, sorry, but most cheesesteaks are heavily-processed crap with the consistency and flavor of cardboard. Haven't you Yanks heard of spices?

Faces probe? What's there to inquire about? You speak English or you're not served.
Whatever happened to "reserving the right to refuse service to anyone"

I just said that the world would be better off without them. Beef with no discernable grain and cheez whiz are not my idea of palatable food.

Liberals believe speaking English is racist. Why, Harry Reid said so! So I'm not surprised Philadelphia's liberals are investingating's Genno's. If he doesn't have a multi-language menu, he's crazy. Once upon a time in this country, it would have been understood without question. Now we're losing sense of what it means to be an American - political correctness run amok.

In an interview the owner said that having to translate and figure out what the customer is saying slows up the sales. That is a perfectly legitimate reason for disallowing any other language.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE...doesn't this work any longer?

...they're so quick with service...stuttering problem... Also read they hardly speak the King's English themselves. Yet they do a booming business. Got to get familiar with the place, I guess.
The point is whether Geno's English only sign passes mustard, or not. Why the sign when he says they serve non-English speaking customers? Either he does, or, as his sign says, he does not.
In principal, I agree he has the right to post his sign.
We are an English-speaking country and if you are invited to live here, you are required to learn our language. We have no obligation at all to learn yours.

Reason #1,333,111 to hate Liberals. Geno's is awesome. It's been 8 years since I moved awat from the Philly area. I never heard of Geno's, Is it better than Pat's?
To: GeorgiaDawg32
I think the guy should just put up a sign that says 'Managment Reserves The RIGHT to Refuse Service to Communists, Lawyers, Politicians, and people from France.'

I just said that the world would be better off without them. Beef with no discernable grain and cheez whiz are not my idea of palatable food. Your worthless opinion.
Philadelphians and visitors to the city who have enjoyed the sandwiches for decades don't give a rat's behind what you think about their food.

I just said that the world would be better off without them. Beef with no discernable grain and cheez whiz are not my idea of palatable food. Your FR home page says: Originally from NOLA (left pre-Katrina), resettled in DC, currently in Boston. Caught between a rock and a hard place. :) I think Philadelphia will be next.
I strongly suggest you make a different choice. I don't think you will fit in with the natives.

And I plan to head up and grab a steak tomorrow, if I can! I hope they have enough rolls!

From the article: The sign may violate the city's Fair Practices Ordinance, which bans businesses from discriminating on the basis of nationality or ethnicity, Lawton said.
