Maybe the San Francisco area Family Court mistook you for a Butch Lesbian and gave you a fair deal on that basis?

I composed a whole post about divorce... but I guess it's off topic.

The topic here is the shooting... ping me sometime, on a family law thread.

CW II ping list. Not sure if this qualifies, it is a wobbler in so far as it indicates a severe breakdown in the social order when people start shooting judges. OTOH if you just view it as a wackjob's wingnut coming loose, it indicates nothing. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

I am just not going to tell you how bad you are. ;)

And I sure won't mention how much I giggled.

One shot. Through the window. Could be almost any kind of firearms then.

Oh well... So much for my finely crafted WAG (wild arsed guess). ;-)

I'll stick in my $02 here:

Myself, I'm a guy who has been happily married for 31 years; we have no kids.

However, I did have a business partner for several years who liked to brag about how awful her ex was and how she was constantly screwing him over in court. To give you an idea of the level of pettiness I saw; she was suing him over back child support issues long after both their children were over 18 and I specifically remember one instance where they were taking up the court's time arguing over a difference in some old payment or other that totaled $11.42.

Incredulous, I pulled out a ten and 2 ones from my wallet and waved them at her and said, here, take it and keep the change - while you are taking up the court's time on this there are people waiting who desperately need real justice. Her response was a 20-minute tirade. I've never forgotten it.

Hmm. OK. A lot of bad info was previously posted on this thread. The judge was hit by one shot, not four. Looks like it went through a window, which doesn't rule an inside shot but certainly allows for a outside the building shot to be a possibility. The picture on the link above is interesting.

And there a plenty of cases where the woman gets run through the wringer for no reason.

The problem is that there is no individual judgement based on individual cases. They use formulas and apply a cookie cutter mentality that ends up treatment no one -- especially the kids -- fairly.

Yeah, I know their are evil, lying, manipulative bitches, but there are the psychotic men as well who work the system.

BTW... someone over on ARFCOM posted this photo:

Shows the rough distance from the restaurant(black circled building) to the courthouse(red circle) as being about 200 yards.

I was thinking the same. I was wondering how long it would take before things would come to this.

Yes there are bad cases on both sides. My daughter has her children one (1) less day of the year because she was trying to be fair in a 50/50 child custody case. Because of that one day (during the first year, it changes on subsequent years), SHE pays HIM almost $400.00 per month.

It isn't always the male that gets the screw...it seems like it is most often the breadwinner regardless of sex. It's just another form of welfare entitlement, making someone support a lazy-butt who wants to do nothing to earn an living for themselves. I am entitle to say that because I was abandoned with three children and no means of support whatsoever. I went to work and raised them by myself.

Bushwhackers are not respected, they are generally considered cowards.

Also called back-shooters, as they are too cowardly to face their victim.

Anyone with a legitimate grievance of a level to justify killing should have the guts to get close and personal about it.
Hard to make the target understand the reason they are dying from a distance.

I will send my "baby" brother. He has slaughtered enough deer to populate a small state.

Thanks! I'll make him a nice venison stew when he's done.

As you point out, it goes beyond money to child custody. In many states now, custody is split regardless of the suitability of the parenting.

I voluntarily gave my wife 80% to 90% of everything to make it easier for her and the kids. I figured that I could always earn it all back again. I haven't, but the kids were more important to me than the money.

Some put more value on the money than they do on the people involved. I guess that I'd have been less kind had she been cheating, but she wasn't. We just couldn't get along. Today we are closer than we were during most of our marriage.
