Why not just become a cop for a couple of years, or go active duty?
The Army is always the best choice in my mind because you have many more choices, and once you are in you may choose to go farther, such as airborne etc.
The problem is that the MEPS doctor is for all services, so it doesn't matter which branch I join. I'll still have to be passed by him.
And I've seen so many friends choose to be a cop as a way of moving their lives forward, then they never did. Nothing wrong with being a cop, I just believe I belong in a different area. I've got a four year degree, and my ASVAB scores were through the roof. I just need the training, and I'll be set. Which is why this hurdle is so annoying.
