Your retort does not refute his point. Uh, yes it does.
Simply because one man speaks out does not mean that all have spoken out.
Plenty of scientists are professing Christians. Nobody really cares.
The tone of your remark is WHY others do not speak out. Your bitterness and contempt is palpable.
I have enormous contempt for those who misrepresent the words of others. Case in point.

The original poster's point was that scientists rarely "openly admit" their faith especially as it pertains to their work. Whether there are many "professing" scientist believers or not is not the point. It's whether they acknowledge it publicly. Your "Uh, yes it does" doesn't.
As far as people caring goes, your idea of nobody sounds like anybody who isn't you. Look at the outcry over intelligent design (on both sides). In this forum alone, those who mention God positively in science related threads are frequently dismissed as "unscientific", as if belief and science are mutually exclusive. Many people care, and you should too, as perfectly legitimate believing scientists and their work are jeopardized by being marginalized.
As far as misrepresenting what you said, what did I misrepresent? And why are you so eager to dispense your contempt?
