I would like a second source please
I watched the show, and no it was not edited. They went at each other, just like it says.I have never seen Julie Banderas so mad!
Yes, Bandaras and the lady were screaming bible quotes at each other. Bandaras is cute when really angry.
I watched and recorded the interview to show my wife later. WOW!
How in the world can these people call them selves Christian? America has sinned it's self out of God's grace? Where are they getting that load of crap?
I saw the show yesterday evening and Banderas really lit into her, of course it phase Phelps. It was fantastic the way she talked her down.
I saw it. The guest was a Westboro wacko but the host sort of lost it. She shouldn't have given the guest air time in the first place.
What show was this on?
I watched last night as this exchange happened. Julie was in great form and Phelpls-Roper was, as usual, a nutcase.
There is supposed to be a rebroadcast of the exhange this evening at 10PM eastern time.
A real cat fight with Julie banderas cleaning Phelps clock, I think.
Kudos to the Fox News host! I applaud her!
I bet some of Phelps gang are closet fags themselves.
I watched the whole thing. It was a real cat fight.
The hometown newspaper took a stance reluctantly against the father today http://www.ydr.com/editorial/ci_3924607
An excerpt:
This is painful to write, but Albert Snyder is on the wrong path in his lawsuit against the Westboro Baptist Church...
Mr. Snyder makes a good point that members of this "church" are "the sickest bunch of people that I've ever encountered."
Mr. Snyder makes a good point that members of this "church" are "the sickest bunch of people that I've ever encountered."
It's a "church" that espouses, not God's love for humanity, but his supposed hatred. Members' views seem like a perversion of Christianity, a religion most interpret to be based on love and the possibility of redemption. Fred Phelps is so far out, he's on the fringe of the fringe. He and his followers (mostly members of his own family) say despicable, insensitive things aimed toward grieving family members at their most vulnerable time.
So Mr. Snyder's anger at the church for protesting outside the funeral of his son, Marine Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, who was killed in Iraq March 3, is perfectly understandable.
But what good will a lawsuit do?
It won't bring back a fallen military hero - Matthew.
It won't change Mr. Phelps' sick views.
If anything, as Mr. Snyder's ex-wife, who doesn't support the suit, says, it will only give Mr. Phelps the attention he clearly desires to spread his repulsive gospel of hatred.
And the lawsuit holds the potential to further chill the freedom of speech that our soldiers are ostensibly fighting to protect - and indeed, spread. This case is a misuse of the federal civil courts.
I wonder why Fred himself doesn't do these interviews. He's obviously proud of his disgusting views, so why does he send his daughter out to do the high profile stuff?
My husband and mom watched it last night. Mr. sneakers looked for it on FreeRepublic last night, assuming somebody would have posted about it, but this is the first mention I've seen of it. Darn, wish I'd seen it myself! I was watching a movie upstairs. He said they were yelling at each other!
The WBC is planning another protest tomorrow in New Castle, Del., at the funeral of Army Staff Sgt. Darren Harmon, who was killed by an IED.
There should be an open season for Westboro Baptists, when they can be hunted for sport like the filthy, subhuman animals they are.

BTW, that "church" is a cult.Banderas: "The Bible says 'the fear of the Lord is hatred of evil,' [from the Book of] Proverbs. 'Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.' Perverted speech like yours: 'God hates fags.' You are preaching absolute B.-., and you know the final letter."
Phelps-Roper: "If you don't tell them that this nation is full of idolatry, full of adulteries ...
Banderas: "Full of insane people like yourself, ma'am."
Phelps-Roper: "You're proud. You're proud of your sins. You can't do enough sinning. You think 'gay' pride, bimbo. You have sinned away your day of grace."
Banderas: "OK, you are an abomination."
Phelps-Roper: "America is doomed. America is doomed. ... Before your eyes, missy, you're gonna see the destruction of America."
Banderas: "If America is doomed, then why don't you get out? Why are you in this country? Why are you an American? Are you an American?"
Phelps-Roper: "I am exactly where my God put me to tell you plainly, that you are going to hell, and there's nothing you can do about it."
Banderas: "Why don't you take your church to another country, then, ma'am? Thank you so much. You should not be proud to be an American, and thank you. Good-bye."
