Sure Bill...let's not wait until the military investigation is done...let's dredge up My Lai.

If Haditha were an investigation of a few troops, it would never have been discussed by Buckley and others.
This is not an investigation of a few troops but the whole US military.
It is being used as an opportunity to tear down the whole on the backs of a few.
That act is, to me, the similarity to My Lai.

"Massacres" occur all over the globe everyday. I guess it's where the "massacre" took place and by whom and under what circumstances you conceder it to be a "massacre".Palestinians of all ages and genders blow themsleves up killing hundreds....Muslims of all ages and gendees blow themselves up killing thousands. The list goes on.....

"Buckley was pretty good til he went senile." Actually, I think it's the drugs. Buckley is a big time pot-head.

Buckley was pretty good til he went senile. I stopped taking him seriously when he started promoting compulsory volunteerism.

Good afternoon.
"Buckley was pretty good til he went senile."
Buckley, like too many Cold Warriors, began to lose touch with reality when the Cold War ended.

I didn't even know he was still alive... He's getting up there. Must have a portrait in his attic ala Dorian Grey.

I remember hearing that he had gone out on a boat into international waters to try marijuana (so that he wouldn't be breaking any US laws), but didn't realize that he had turned into a big time pot-head. Reefer madness.

Good afternoon.
Those Americal soldiers killed hundreds of Vietnamese civilians at My Lai 4. They had been pushed to the limit but they shouldn't have been allowed to do what they did.
I blame the Platoon Leader and the Company Commander most, but everyone in a leadership position was complicit.
The Haditha event, on the other hand, seems to be fraudulent. Buckley should know better.

Yeah, it's childish, but it's how I feel. It's my Dummie impersonation.

Buckley is on the record as being against the war in Iraq.
This is just his way of reinforcing his opinion.
