Had the same experience.
Barnes & Noble workers are notoriously rabid loony left (at least in New York anyways).

The smartest thing the Jersey Girls could've done was keep their yaps shut. That being the case, I'm not surprised they haven't.

Considering the number of B&N clerks with jewelry in their eyebrows in suburban PA, I'd think it extends outside NYC
