WHAT I was referring to was this:
They had this Governor and look what he did....Ann called '3' women the 'witches of something' and now they are ready to ban her book....
If I were to ban any book it would be the one from the Governor, I think it was far more trashy than Ann's....
Can you imagine how his x-wife and little girl are going to feel in years to come when the little girl finds out what her'daddy' was and is????
THAT WAS MY POINT....THANK YOU...

There's an objective difference between saying that Ms. Coulter's comments are tasteless and calling for censorship.
Ms. Coulter's comments are not made more tasteful by comparing them to Mr. Churchill's "little Eichmanns" comment. Both are reprehensible - but both are protected political speech. Significantly, however, Mr. Churchill's and Ms. Coulter's comments drove more people away than they convinced.

well, then, were you insinuating she slandered? No. I am arguing in the alternative - that offensive though they may be, the maximum legal recourse is not a ban on the sale of the books, but a lawsuit for slander or defamation of character.
"If A" does not mean A is true - it just means assume A is true for the sake of considering "A----->B."

Wait a minute hypocrites, if this was Ward "Fascist Hippee Moron" Churchill you would be asking bookstores to do the same thing.
Please don't go off half cocked just because some asinine liberals want to "ask" private businesses to stop someone's opinion from being heard, the people will decide.

quot;Ann Coulter's criticism of 9-11 widows, whose only desire since the attacks have been to repair their shattered lives and protect other families from the horrors they have experienced, is motivated purely by petty greed and hate," the two Democrats complained"
Making nasty political attack ads for Hanoi John Kerry and calling President Bush a murderer is now called "repair their shattered lives "?
Who knew?

how is it an embarrassment? Everyone who hears the comment without a long, detailed explanation to frame it in a very favorable light thinks the comment is over-the-top. That most certainly makes it an embarassment.

In a joint press release issued Friday, New Jersey Assemblywomen Joan Quigley and Linda Stender say they want New Jersey retailers to "ban the sale of [Coulter's] book throughout the state."
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
These are the same people who push an anything goes attitudes to books in our children's schools and children's libraries. Any type of lifestyle filth is OK for children,,,but hey!,,,,ban Ann.
Geeze! ( sigh!)

BWahahahahahahahaha!
Ann Kicked over a rock and the maggots are squirming on steroids!
Don't let them hide behind their 'victimhood' to play big time politics!
And no more of them hiding behind the 'hate' epithet!
Or for that matter, "racist", "homophobe", "mysoginist", or any of the labels they so loosely attempt to apply to those who disagree with them (I personally like 'Neanderthal')!
Make them speak to the issues!
No more free passes!
The more stirred up they get, the more they prove her right!!

Hope, that was not directed at you, just those that
are trying to twist this into something it's not by
being unfair in their critism of people that do not agree with Ms. Coulter's opinion and want PRIVATE busineses not to sell it....Let the DBM/dems be liars and hypocrites, not us.

Actually the book sellers are quite within their rights to refuse to sell her book, Ann has the right to write a book but she has no right to have it published, reviewed or bought. The Constitution ban on censorship only applies to the Government.
That said, all this will do will be to add another bunch off sales to her total. This same thing would happen when the Catholic Church would forbid Catholics to read this or that book or see a certain movie.
