Ford is in the unfortunate position of being a member of a corrupt political family.
Typical democrat.
That is testament to his campaigning hard, but not always smoothly: at the parade in April he was walking around pressing the flesh and asking soldiers what issues they needed help with. Another soldier and myself were about to mention a couple of things to him when we made the mistake of mentioning that we are from NC-he moved on without another word.
Maybe we can find some people that just want to serve; rather than raise money all the time.
Rep. Harold Ford Jr., D-Tenn., wheels former Georgia Sen. Max Cleland through Cafe 541 in Clarksville, Tenn., to greet Evelyn Barnes, a Vietnam War widow, during a recent campaign stop. Ford will know in August who his Republican Senate opponent will be for the November general election. UGH!! UGH!!, nothing like wheeling out the bad grenade juggler to get the military vote is it!This is a puff piece, pure and simple.
Hopefully, this paper will next year be reporting on Ed Bryant's service in the Senate.

FReepers should use that line on EVERY liberal who spouts off that Bush "stole" the 2000 election.
I also like to add:
"If Gore had been able to carry HIS OWN STATE, he would have won. So tell me, what did the Democrats in Tennessee learn about Senator Al Gore that the rest of you libs aren't smart enough to figure out?"
