We had friends over for a swim and bbq yesterday and they had just met a Marine back from a year in Iraq. He gave details about how much the average Iraqi absolutely adores us and thanks the military for being there. Something else Murtha could never acknowledge.
Sounds like a great post, Peach. Can you give more detail on a separate thread?
I have spoken to dozens of Military returned from Iraq and they all tell the same stories.
In Crawford last September I talked to a Soldier back from Iraq who had dozens of pictures of Iraqis extremely grateful for our presence.
He told me that one Iraqi woman came up and hugged him and thanked him. He said, What for? She said that her Brother had gotten on Saddam's bad side and had to leave the country 15 years ago. Now he has come back home to Iraq.
(sorry for the tangent)
