Dang, bad wreck in the gate just now in a prelim race. Horse began to bust through the gate, but was held back by the stewards and went over backwards.
As a horse owner who knows how horses think, the gates always make me nervous. For an audience who is already nervous, this doesn't help.
Miraculous Mist is okay. It sure looked hairy!
Is it a bigger or wider gate than other tracks?
Usually they appear to be pretty tight confines.
