I didn't see the starting gate incident (was en route to my mom's houe and the HD TV). She said she thought she heard the horse and rider were OK.

What an adorable picture of Blue Grass Cat. Is he the favorite? I'm guessing he would be.

Not sure of exact odds right now but He da man today. ;-)
A few more familiar horses aren't here, it's too long a distance for some that did well at shorter distances. a smallish field..
track is real dry, hard.. should be a good race.

They had it (Get Well from Barbaro's Dad) on the ESPN coverage this morning.
They just showed Barbaro in his stall and said there's a mare in the stall next to him who has peaked his interest. Heh- he's feeling better.
BTW did anyone bet on Cacique -the horse who just won. My mom had him, she's happy.

Go Steppenwolfer - he's locally owned here in MO.
They were just talking to his trainer about it being a windy day, don't know if that will be a factor.
Now saying Step. and Bob and John the favs @ 9-2.

A big horsey sized TV for Barbaro...LOL. I have to say , watching the race on HD TV is great. I'm going to save up for one- well worth the investment, beautiful picture.
