Why do others beat up on teachers so heavily?

Not all teachers are liberals! In fact, on a radio show Ann Coulter went out of her way to encourage conservatives to become teachers to repair the damage already done by the hippies. The libs entered teaching with an agenda, and we need to undo their mess.
