Piss poor analysis. Conservatives, neo, paleo, or any other stripe, are dismayed by two things. Spending and immigration. Same things conservatives were dismayed about during Reagan's presidency.

This whole Bush is a neo-con crap is phony. He grew up a republican in a old line republican family. I've heard people call Rummy a neo-con. What crap. He's in his 70s and has been a stalwart GOPer all these years, before the stinking term "neo-con" was invented.

If George Bush and Condi and Cheney and Rummy and Bolton and Tony Snow and Richard Perle and Rush and Bill Bennett and Tommy Franks and Brit Hume are all neo-cons, then the term means nothing.

I think everyone has been mis-identifyint what a "neocon" really is.

My definition of a neocon is a Republican who favors big government so long as it is big government controlled by Republicans. On foriegn policy they tend to search for incipient Hitlers in every little bumf--k country on earth in order to "nation build" and infest others with their poison.

They do not disavow socialism because doing so would call into question their government policy.

Actually Rummy was a halfassed milk toast Republican. He, of course, worked against Reagan in the 1976 and 1980 primaries. It is remarkable how much pantywaste Mark Kirk fits into the mold holding Rummy's old seat though.

Actually, neocons like immigration.
The Security-minded ones do allow some rationality to intervene in their globalist agenda. They don't want enemies to immigrate and they want immigrants to Americanize.
However, Bill Kristol and friends have no problem with any number of immigrants.
