It is simple. Whenever you put mullas and clerics in charge of state affairs, you have desaster.
Because the western cultures have discovered that a couple of hundred years ago, their societies prosper.
The prime issue is the culture of Jihad. Take Jihad out of Islam (arguable not possible) and it may survive. Follow in the way of Jihad and it will be a death match.
I've heard it said that the rulers of Muslim countries created and use hatred for isreal and america as a means to focus their populations. My keeping them mad at us the local rulers don't have to worry so much about being overthrown for being corrupt and incompetent.
The true root to their problem is that deep down in whats left of their souls, they know they have no real God! They pray to a borg cube 5 times a day, and are instructed to hate and kill for an insecure hateful God by a Prophet who was murdering pedophiie who later admitted being possed by the devil!

If someone wants to be Muslim-American, that's fine. But they don't.
