It`s true...I`ll never forget a couple years ago when out on "Lawn Goyland" I was reading Newsday at a train station and came across a story of a vet who came back to L.I. after losing one of his feet, I believe from a IED. Newsday saw it fit to call him a hero in the headlines, only in quotes though...Long Island "hero" returns from Iraq. I guess writing the word hero without those quotes was just too painful for Newsday.

Also, quotes around a single word is improper usage.
