Just gotta LOVE the military speak, it's almost poetry to me!

Sometimes just a routine patrol and sometimes "POW, RIGHT IN THE KISSER."

"drily" implies a certain sense of irony. I don't think it was said with irony. These guys really talk like that.

If I were one of the pilots, I'd get a tattoo to commemorate the deed.

I realize the odds are hugely against it but I hope this is a friend of mine. He is currently a 16 pilot in Iraq.

satellite-guided 500-pound GBU-38 bomb

Which makes it a JDAM. Earlier reports had the attack being conducted with laser-guided bombs. Boeing successfully tested a laser/JDAM combination back in Feb, 2005 -- perhaps these have since been fielded, and were used in this attack?

Zarqawis last words were "What is that whistling sound?"

On the Zarqawi strike:

"the U.S. unveiled their new sex bomb. Zarqawi was heard to say "Look at the freaking bombs"

I bet Zarqawi IS NOT being "serviced" by those virgins like he was told by the Prophet that he would be.

The pilots doubled back and decided not to take any chances. They dropped a second Boeing-built, satellite-guided 500-pound GBU-38 bomb...

Next, the drive-by MSM will say that the second bomb probably destroyed too much of that intelligence "treasure trove" that we could have saved with only one bomb.

In a perfect world, Boeing would use the video version in a TV ad. During the Super Bowl.
