Of course we will. It really hasn't been eons since Reagan was in office, and yes, there WILL be another of his virtue to come down the pike. These things come and go like the tides.

"Great post, and it is difficult to find any obvious fault in it, from any perspective."
Thanks very much.
"All that being said, it is scary and sickening to realize how little is left in America that stands for America as the country it was intended to be. I don't think we will ever see another conservative (REAL conservative) President,"
Maybe, maybe not. I believe it is possible that Republicans will start waking up to the fact that the Left is infiltrating the Republican Party. If this happens with a large number of Republicans, I have no doubt we win.
Here's something to keep in mind. The Left has great power of subversion. Conservatives are loath to see subversion, which enhances the Left's power in this regard.
But let's not forget the Left's many and vast weaknesses. If you are like the average freeper, you live in a Red State and do not know the Left intimately. But I was born a Liberal and can see into the Left pretty well.
They are constantly weakening themselves. They are a group of preditors and parasites. You look at this from the outside and see the external threat they pose, but consider this: the main threat they pose (as individuals) is to each other, the main damage they do is to each other and themselves. This damage is a constant process. Just think about it. They proclaim the virtues of drugs, homosexuality, etc. and promote them within themselves and within the mainstream culture which they readily partake in.
On a macro scale, consider the Soviet Union. One of the very largest empires in the history of the world, with much apparent power. We get one real conservative president for two terms---and the whole thing collapses! In addition, the amount of actual fighting we did in this period was quite small. Essentially, the Soviet Union destroyed itself.
Blue states are the same. Did you know that there is a net outflow of population from the northeast? Interestingly, the white population net outflow is going into the Midwest and Far West. The black population outflow is going into the South. (Don't ask me why.)
But the key thing is, the Red States keep getting more population and the blue states keep going down. In addition, I think a very big percentage of those immigrants end up switching their political affiliation. They mainly leave because they can't get a job in a blue state, but can get one in a red state. I suspect the move is often connected with a political shift.
"and worse than that, look at what the Congress has degenerated into. A teaming swamp of anti-Americanism, anti-militarism, socialistic, political attack-dogs that are spending all their time fighting for position in the socialist pecking order, and not at all running and preserving America, as if they cared about it."
Well, I agree the Senate is pretty bad in a lot of ways, but even there, Roberts and Alito were confirmed. Yes, their immigration bill was horrible, but the House passed a pretty good one. I think the result will be "no legislation". This is disappointing, but look at it from a perspective of five or six years. Bush has always been for open borders. This didn't even bother the majority of Republicans in 2000. Immigration is a relatively new issue among the broad ranks of conservative Republicans.
Considering it that way, a lot of progress has been made pretty fast. I would turn your statement around about presidents to an extent, and make this statement: I don't think a person who believes in open borders (as Bush does) will ever be nominated for President by the Republican Party again.
Let me just conclude by saying is very encouraging to me when I occasionally meet someone like yourself on the Free Republic who is aware of the subversion going on in this country. And let me add: it is definitely happening more than it used to.
For awhile, I felt alone giving this message, but now I'm seeing that there are other people who feel the same way. If we can even reach the point of being considered a small minority of the party (as opposed to what we have now, which I would call "a scattering"), I definitely believe we will win. Why? Because the truth we are talking about is so obvious that the only way the other side can win is if practically no one is talking about it.
"And they just march forward, blatantly in front of a voting public that is paralyzed with ignorance, apathy, complacency and just outright stupidity, as if nothing was happening to their country. All one has to do, to become fully educated, is read that latest piece of total crap legislation that the Senate put out on illegal immigration. We are on the brink."
I don't disagree that we are on the brink. However, we may still win. Remember, the majority of Americans fundamentally think the same way we do. All we have to do is wake them up.
